Description
This was a collaboration with the amazing taxwaxus, and a sequel of sorts to a previous picture of his. Check out his awesome gallery here:

Princess Eilonwy is from the overlooked (and much maligned) 1985 Disney movie The Black Cauldron. As difficult to spell as she is easy to fall in love with, this spirited, plucky and kind-hearted princess spends a good deal of the movie in the dungeons of the Horned King, played by the always awesome John Hurt (not pictured), who wants to extract the secret of the eponymous cauldron from her. So, naturally, one's mind wonders how the King's minions went about this prior to her first appearance onscreen. The movie implies that she's been there for some time, so I'm sure they kept her entertained.
I never actually saw this movie when I was young, but I had fun working on this picture nonetheless, and getting to know it through that. I'm a sucker for sword and sorcery stuff so this was right up my street. And a cute-as-a-button princess in a deep, dark dungeon only helps improve it, frankly.
